lyrics
I will seize the day when I have no roles left to play
Illusions of clarity abound
Out of body examination
The eyes meeting, interlocking
Mirrors reflecting evermore
Contorted creatures
Apparitions of haunting association
Claiming unity and connection
Fragments of a once pristine creation
Silence the solemn shades
A shadow's shadow under the light of scrutiny
Is there no hope of oblivion?
Introverted searching
Will there be peace?
Will these banished masks haunt my dreams?
A bitter shell unnoticed in the masquerade
This visage is a façade of your creation
These acts I shall carry out till I have no faces to discard
I must augment myself
I will seize the day when I have no roles left to play
Falsifying connection
Repetition of contact
An endless cycle that I find no worth in
Bathe me in delusions of self
Awash, drowning in your expectations
I just wish to abandon the lie
I will seize the day when I have no roles left to play
The first day of truth
The final day of existence

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego

... about the most technical "progressive music" can get without sacrificing harmony, melody, and soul / feel. Favorite tracks : All of them. tooljirashugg
